This game looks amazing. I was sad that MW2 decided to stay away from PAX 09. I was looking forward to getting my hands on a demo and really being sold on the new features shown so far of MW2. Left 4 Dead 2 and Halo ODST looked amazing and those dev teams were on the right track by allowing us, the consumers get our hands on their product. But none the less this game still looks amazing.

I didn't think I could possibly be disappointed by a clothing pack release for my NXE Avatar, but this was pathetic. It's not even worth the time to check it out.

I'm about 80 hours into the 360 version, and I would estimate it's crashed about 10 times. Thankfully the autosaves (and the desire to save often) are frequent enough that I've never lost more than 20 or 30 minutes of play time. I know for a fact that many people have put the game down to wait for a patch, however.

All that said, Fallout 3 is truly brilliant. This coming from a gamer that didn't at all care for the Elder Scrolls series. If you're holding back for the same reason that I almost did (general hatred of western RPGs), give it a shot.

"People who think of videogaming as a money making industry are the problem"... That's what Epic is accusing (accurately) companies like Gamestop of being. Because game retailers profits are significantly higher for sales of used games. The last time I went to Gamestop it was to buy Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus. It was $20 at the time, and the employee asked me NO LESS than three times if I wanted to buy the $17 used version (with no case) instead. I actually had to tell him that I'd rather support Konami than his punk ass. I understand that there is a market for used games, and some people genuinely have to think about the $5 or $10 difference in price, but as long as I have the choice, I'd never buy a game used. I fully support developers doing what they're starting to do to halt those secondary sales. I believe that shipping half a game with exclusive-to-new-copies DLC is taking things unnecessarily far, but you have to understand their point of view. As development costs soar, many developers are just trying to stay above water.

This is pretty sick, actually. The Wii was obviously quite experimental as a home console, and Nintendo is still catching on to the world of possibilities that its design ideas create (Wii Motion Plus is a good example). From the whirling dervish of negative reaction when Nintendo started talking about it to now, and what is easily going to be the best selling home console of the generation, I think that Nintendo is going to invest a lot more time and money in the eventual successor to the Wii. I'd love to see technology like this involved. This cat better have patents on his shit, because if he does Nintendo should be paying him royalties in a few years.
